Job Title: Assistance League® of Salt Lake City Thrift Shop Retail Manager  

Classification: Non-Exempt Hourly 

Position Type: Full-time 

Annual Wage: Starting at $51,000 or commensurate with experience.

A thriving nonprofit thrift shop located in the heart of Millcreek City with an established reputation for quality, great customer service and loyal customers needs a retail manager. 

The ideal candidate has retail store supervisory experience with the ability to lead a team of committed volunteers in a collaborative environment.  

The candidate is responsible for directing all aspects of the Thrift Shop's daily operations including: 

  • Opening and closing the shop. 

  • Training staff and volunteers. 

  • Confirming shift schedules. 

  • Managing donations. 

  • Ordering supplies as needed. 

  • Ensuring prompt and accurate financial record keeping. 

Skills/Job Qualifications: 

  • Multiyear experience in retail management and employee supervision. 

  • Proven skills in process improvement, merchandising, and product pricing. 

  • Experience with retail technology. 

  • Service-focused and process-driven with excellent interpersonal and communication. skills. 

  • Intermediate skill level with the Microsoft Office suite of products. 

  • Ability to lift 30 pounds.
