Horizonte Graduates Receive New Laptops

In April, Assistance League of Salt Lake City provided 50 new Chromebook laptops to this year's Horizonte Instruction and Training Center graduates. These young adults are, or will be, starting their studies at Salt Lake Community College and its School of Applied Technology, assisted by the privately funded Horizonte College Scholarship.  Assistance League is pleased to have provided Horizonte graduates with laptops for a number of years.

Kimball Young, Administrator, Horizonte Scholarship Fund, stated,"The combination of your computer and the scholarship enable these ambitious but low income and underrepresented first generation college students to pursue their higher education dreams with all the necessary assistance...Assistance League's continuing support is so appreciated!...It allows us to provide a great level of student support that results in student advancement, graduation and much higher entry into career opportunity." 

The laptops are provided through Assistance League's Eye on the Community program. Assistance League members wish these new graduates great success as they continue their education!
