Educational Scholarships

The ALSLC Educational Scholarships program was created in 2023 to support students with demonstrated financial need to attend college. Preference is given to non-traditional students which include students who are single parents, children of a single parent, those who have experienced homelessness, refugee/migrants, or those who are among the first generation in their family to attend college. Assistance League of Salt Lake City collaborated through agreements with Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah. Scholarship funds may be used for in-state tuition, fees, books, or other educational supplies. Featured here are two of the University of Utah recipients.

Henrique, who was born in Brazil, is a senior in Communications. He came to Utah to attain a higher education and wrote, "Thank you for granting me the opportunity to finish my studies at the University of Utah...thank you for changing my life and the lives of those related to me."

Brittany stated, "The scholarship you've provided makes it possible for me to continue this path of service and learning. It has strengthened my resolve to succeed in Nuclear Medicine, and then to Physicians Assistant School, with the hope of giving back to my community by addressing health disparities and providing quality care to those in need."
