Betsy Burton Receives 2019 Karen S. Johnson Women of Distinction Award

Betsy Burton, co-founder and co-owner of The Kings English Bookshop, was presented with the 2019 Karen S. Johnson Women of Distinction Award at a luncheon held on May 4. Each year, Assistance League's Consociates Auxiliary honors an outstanding woman who has made significant contributions to the community with this prestigious award. Emceed by JR Holbrook and Jenny Hardman, this year's luncheon, held at the Cottonwood Country Club, was a sold-out event. Attendees enjoyed the "Springtime in Paris" theme, the fabulous opportunity baskets, delicious food and warm camaraderie. Proceeds from the event support the Consociates' two philanthropic programs, Baby Bundles and Assault Survivor Kits^®.
