Assistance League of Salt Lake City and The King's English Bookshop are once again co-sponsoring an event to promote children's literacy. In celebration of International Children's Book Week, a bin will be available at the bookshop from April 26 - May 5 for donations of new and gently-used children's books. Donated books will be distributed by Assistance League volunteers to agencies serving children in need who will, in turn, provide these children with their own book.  Please bring one book or several to The King's English Bookshop, 1511 S. 1500 E. in Salt Lake City, on or before May 5th.

Look for cars bearing these Operation School Bell signs as they deliver bags of new school clothes to kids in elementary schools throughout the valley. Each year, Operation School Bell provides some 5,000 students with a coat, pair of jeans, hoodie, two shirts, socks, underwear, toothbrush and toothpaste before the cold weather sets in. When you see these signs, you'll know that smiles will soon be on the faces of many happy children.
