Thrift Shop Waiting to be Reopened

Closed- But Not Closed Down

Assistance League’s members, even in these chaotic times, are helping and preparing to help children and adults in need in our community. We’re honoring the stay safe, stay home and social distancing protocols set forth by our state, county and cities. We’re closed, yes, but not closed down.

  • Children with urgent and painful dental conditions are getting treatment by our dentist-partners.
  • New parkas, shirts, jeans, hoodies, underwear and shoes are being shipped. The 5,000 children we serve can count on clothes for school and for winter weather.
  • Layettes for newborns in need are provided.
  • Essential personal items are given to victims of sexual violence.

Our highest priority for our Thrift Store is the health and safety of our customers, donors and members. While we’re closed, the store’s undergoing intensive cleaning including fumigation. We are not accepting any donations of clothing, books or household items at this time. When it’s safe to open according to the Utah Department of Health guidelines and governmental go-ahead, all safe practices and social distancing will be diligently implemented.

We look forward to the day the Thrift Store will again be a source of bargains for shoppers and a source of funding for our vital programs.

We expect the new normal will change how we work – but it won’t change why we work

Please stay safe and healthy.
