Our Act III entertainers reach out to seniors who may be isolated and too often forgotten by the outside world. This energetic cast performs song and dance routines for residents in long-term care, rehabilitation and assisted living centers.

Act III performers present a fall, holiday and spring repertoire. The audience recognizes many of their old favorite songs and is encouraged to sing along. The group always concludes with a patriotic melody. Recently, after a performance at the Veterans Home a woman requested we sing “God Bless America” a second time. Later, she explained her husband, a veteran, had been a professor of music, and she hadn’t heard him sing in two years. But she did that day — twice!

Assistance League also leaves a set of CDs with the old favorite songs to entertain residents between visits!
